Idaho Secretary of State Ben Ysursa ’67 should be the guy to redraw Idaho Congressional and Legislative District lines, so says Marc Johnson, a long-time respected public affairs consultant. Johnson’s popular blog The Johnson Post, makes the case for turing over the hard work to Ysursa based on Ben’s enduring and all-around well-regarded role in the Secretary of State’s office, stretching a generation first as Deputy to Pete T. Cenarrusa and since 2002 as Idaho Secretary of State.
Of course, state law requres a six person commission take on the job, but with the recent failure of the commission after spending 90 days and nearly $300,000 with no product to show for it, why not give the job to Ben?
The BK ties go a little deeper here as Johnson once served as an officer on the Bishop Kelly Foundation.
