Former Bishop Kelly coach Charles “Chuck” Forrestal will be honored on Friday evening, October 14th, with a special celebration at the school. Pregame, Halftime, and postgame activities are being planned to honor Forrestal, who was the head football coach at BK for six seasons, 1964 through 1969.
Forrestal was the first head coach at Bishop Kelly and is often referred to as the “Godfather of BK football.” His Rockne-like approach to game strategy and player motivation are legendary among former players, and his on-field results established a tradition of winning that echoes to this day.
If you know a person who played for Coach Forrestal at BK or served as member of the coaching or support staff during the Forrestal Era, please contact event coordinator Barry “Spud” Zamzow at firstname.lastname@example.org.
