The Bishop Kelly Foundation selects two recipients of the “Order of the Knight” honor each year, and one of the 2010 selections was Alumknight Mike Burke ’83. The award was presented at the 34th Annual Winner’s Choice Dinner & Auction in early November.

Burke is nearing the end of his second six-year term on the BK Foundation Board.  His accounting expertise was invaluable in his work with the three Foundation executive directors during those twelve years.  Mike essentially managed the Foundation during the interim period in the late 1990s.  He currently serves as Treasurer of the Foundation Board, as he did during his first term.  He and his wife Sharon have a son who is a junior at Bishop Kelly and a daughter who is a graduate of BK and attends Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif. (Go Gaels!).

Burke joins a number of other BKAA members who have received the honor, including:  Robert Rebholtz; Larry Kurpiewski; Tim LaMott; Tim Brennan; Dave Lachiondo; Julie Lliteras; Pat Russell; and Judy Kroos.
