Former KTVB television news reporter Edgar Lineras posts a series of videos at YouTube and we came across one where he recently visited Highlands Hollow Brew Pub and encountered Chris Compton ’80. Chris tutored Edgar in the fine art of brewing beer. As Edgar relates,
“On this episode of Downtown with Edgar, just in time for Oktoberfest I decided to go make beer at Highlands Hollow Brewhouse. ‘The Hollow’ is tucked away in Boise’s Northend on the road up to Bogus Basin. The restaurant and pub has nine handcrafted beers on tap. It’s a microbrewery with a lot personality. Right when you walk in you can see the brewery where Brew Master Chris Compton works his magic.”
